For those who have participated in a VOD story before, you know that everything is taken up a few notches on the private blog. I share more personal tidbits from my own life, the love scenes are hotter, the conflicts more intense, and the drama is off the chain. But then rightfully so since it is paid reading at that point.
Now on to other news…
I went in and tweaked a pivotal sentence in Ch. 43.4. It originally read: “Her meekness turned him on just as much as her strength.”
When I realized that meekness is not weakness (despite what people may think) but actually another form of strength (quiet strength, in fact), I changed it to now read: “Her meekness turned him on just as much as her strong will.” I hope that change blesses somebody today.
On another note, I also want to say THANKS for the record breaking hits on the blog yesterday. According to the counter results, the number got up to 690on Tuesday. Wow! Now that’s some heavy reading for one day! And on a blog that’s not even a year old yet. Double wow!
Such interest really encourages me to keep doing what I do, although I’ve been known to keep writing and posting even if only one person is reading along. lol. Quite frankly, y’all, I NEED to write. It’s therapeutic for me on so many levels. To have others join in on the fun is an added boon, so THANKS again!

I wanted to chime back in tonight with another author’s note that I think…hope…will bless women that are dating, want to date, or are wondering why they can’t seem to find or keep a date.
After years of research, reading tons of books, prayer, being in a long-term relationship, and just observing other couples, I have come to a profound realization…
Desperation will drive a man away quicker than anything else!
It’s true, ladies. Desperate women are male repellents. Yes, a man might still sleep with you (let’s face it, we’re talking about men here. lol), but he is unlikely to enter into a serious relationship with you if you come off as too clingy.
Not only have I walked this thing out in my own life and seen positive results, but I’ve tried to show this truth in my stories. Even now, Subrina from Big Girls Won’t Cry is experiencing the pleasure of having a man pursue her because she is NOT acting desperate. In contrast, remember what happened to Topaz? Remember how her desperation drove Caesar even farther away? These same scenarios play out in real-life relationships, too.
In my zeal to bless others, I did a little extra research tonight and found a great article by a woman named Cassandra Mack that I think might be helpful to you or someone you know.

I’m briefly pausing the story to discuss a few items of interest.
Item 1 – The free portion of the story will end the night of their New Year’s Eve party. For those who are interested in following the story to the VOD, get your coins ready. Item 2 – I’m still pondering how to better serve international readers with ordering issues due to currency exchange rates and commerce restrictions. Once I find something that is mutually beneficial, I’ll let you know. In the meantime, be on the lookout for impromptu contests that yield either free E-Books or free access to the VOD blog.
Item 3 – A total of four people will die in this story. One (Leesha) already has. Three more to go. I look forward to watching you try to guess who they are as we go along. lol.

This is just a brief pause in the story to broach a topic that I wanted to get your feedback on. I originally talked about this in the comment section, but decided to post it here so everybody would be sure to see it.
One of our readers (Lilo) suggested that I probably didn’t need to use the quotations with Subrina’s undercover name. Example: ‘Bree’.
Although I deliberately did that to eliminate any confusion as I switched back and forth between names while she's undercover, if y’all agree with Lilo that the quotations are not really necessary for clarity, I'll stop using them. No worries. After all, I only wrote it that way for y'all and it would save me some keystrokes.
Before the new story starts, I thought I ought to go over a few things, especially since we have so many new readers joining us this time around. I particularly want to address what you can expect here. This way, you’ll know exactly what you’re getting into before you ever start reading.

We have readers from all backgrounds, cultures, and faiths joining in and I want everyone to feel comfortable reading the story and the associated comments. So if/when you’re really incensed with a character or with the story itself, do us all a favor and use symbols to express those choice words instead. Trust me, we’ll ALL know what you’re talking about anyway and your comments won’t be off-putting due to your choice of words.
