I wanted to chime back in tonight with another author’s note that I think…hope…will bless women that are dating, want to date, or are wondering why they can’t seem to find or keep a date. After years of research, reading tons of books, prayer, being in a long-term relationship, and just observing other couples, I have come to a profound realization… Desperation will drive a man away quicker than anything else! It’s true, ladies. Desperate women are male repellents. Yes, a man might still sleep with you (let’s face it, we’re talking about men here. lol), but he is unlikely to enter into a serious relationship with you if you come off as too clingy. Not only have I walked this thing out in my own life and seen positive results, but I’ve tried to show this truth in my stories. I’m briefly pausing the story to discuss a few items of interest. Item 1 – The free portion of the story will end the night of their New Year’s Eve party. This is just a brief pause in the story to broach a topic that I wanted to get your feedback on. I originally talked about this in the comment section, but decided to post it here so everybody would be sure to see it. One of our readers (Lilo) suggested that I probably didn’t need to use the quotations with Subrina’s undercover name. Example: ‘Bree’. Although I deliberately did that to eliminate any confusion as I switched back and forth between names while she's undercover, if y’all agree with Lilo that the quotations are not really necessary for clarity, I'll stop using them. No worries. After all, I only wrote it that way for y'all and it would save me some keystrokes. Thanks in advance for the feedback. Suprina/Mi’Chelle
