This special Author’s Note is to set the stage for a new venture that I just felt led to start. This new venture is called Reader Revelations and Inspirations and will be featured on my Edgy Inspirational blog (http://mochainterlude.blogspot.com/) as a way to allow you to encourage each other from time to time.
Some of your revelations and inspirations may be sparked from things we talked about in one of my stories, from observations about life in general, or from articles you think might be encouraging to others. Either way, I wanted to provide a place for them and an outlet for you to share your words with the world, too.
If you have something to submit to Reader Revelations and Inspirations, please email me at email@example.com. Use Reader Revelations and Inspirations in the subject line.
No submission will be rejected unless it is divisive, degrading, or otherwise unfit for publication. The goal with this new venture is to BE ENCOURAGING!
The first submission has been made by our fellow reader, Latrice (aka Prophetess Latrice Williams. Yeah, she’s the real deal, y’all, and just as personable and down-to-earth as she wants to be, too. But I’m sure you already know that by now if you’ve been reading her comments along the way. lol.)
To read the revelations and inspirations that Big Girls Won’t Cry and our interactions during the story have stirred within Latrice, please click on the link below:
While you doing that, I’m going to get the next few posts ready. We still have a lot of ground to cover with the story.

I wanted to chime back in tonight with another author’s note that I think…hope…will bless women that are dating, want to date, or are wondering why they can’t seem to find or keep a date.
After years of research, reading tons of books, prayer, being in a long-term relationship, and just observing other couples, I have come to a profound realization…
Desperation will drive a man away quicker than anything else!
It’s true, ladies. Desperate women are male repellents. Yes, a man might still sleep with you (let’s face it, we’re talking about men here. lol), but he is unlikely to enter into a serious relationship with you if you come off as too clingy.
Not only have I walked this thing out in my own life and seen positive results, but I’ve tried to show this truth in my stories. Even now, Subrina from Big Girls Won’t Cry is experiencing the pleasure of having a man pursue her because she is NOT acting desperate. In contrast, remember what happened to Topaz? Remember how her desperation drove Caesar even farther away? These same scenarios play out in real-life relationships, too.
In my zeal to bless others, I did a little extra research tonight and found a great article by a woman named Cassandra Mack that I think might be helpful to you or someone you know.
The title of the article is: 3 Stupid Things Women Do That Drive Men Away and What You Can Do To Avoid Them.
The link to it is: http://www.facebook.com/note.php?note_id=222912270426
Please read it and be blessed!

I’m briefly pausing the story to discuss a few items of interest.
Item 1 – The free portion of the story will end the night of their New Year’s Eve party. For those who are interested in following the story to the VOD, get your coins ready. I’ll also give another reminder a week before Big Girls goes to the paid blog. If you want to pay for access in advance, here’s the link:
Item 2 – I’m still pondering how to better serve international readers with ordering issues due to currency exchange rates and commerce restrictions. Once I find something that is mutually beneficial, I’ll let you know. In the meantime, be on the lookout for impromptu contests that yield either free E-Books or free access to the VOD blog.
Item 3 – A total of four people will die in this story. One (Leesha) already has. Three more to go. I look forward to watching you try to guess who they are as we go along. lol.
That is all. Now back to our regularly scheduled programming…lol
