I wanted to chime back in tonight with another author’s note that I think…hope…will bless women that are dating, want to date, or are wondering why they can’t seem to find or keep a date.
After years of research, reading tons of books, prayer, being in a long-term relationship, and just observing other couples, I have come to a profound realization…
Desperation will drive a man away quicker than anything else!
It’s true, ladies. Desperate women are male repellents. Yes, a man might still sleep with you (let’s face it, we’re talking about men here. lol), but he is unlikely to enter into a serious relationship with you if you come off as too clingy.
Not only have I walked this thing out in my own life and seen positive results, but I’ve tried to show this truth in my stories. Even now, Subrina from Big Girls Won’t Cry is experiencing the pleasure of having a man pursue her because she is NOT acting desperate. In contrast, remember what happened to Topaz? Remember how her desperation drove Caesar even farther away? These same scenarios play out in real-life relationships, too.
In my zeal to bless others, I did a little extra research tonight and found a great article by a woman named Cassandra Mack that I think might be helpful to you or someone you know.
The title of the article is: 3 Stupid Things Women Do That Drive Men Away and What You Can Do To Avoid Them.
The link to it is: http://www.facebook.com/note.php?note_id=222912270426
Please read it and be blessed!
AMEN!!! Suprina...I've see it for myself that you're 100% correct...The sad part is when you try to let your friends knows what she may be doing wrong they get all negative with you and say stuff like well at least I got or can get a man and you know I can't keep my mouth closed on that one so I reply back and say getting him and keeping him is two different things. Going through 4 to 5 men a year should kinda alert you that something wrong with this picture.
ReplyDeleteThe fake Subrina and the real Subrina is alot alike most definately when it come to not pursuing a man and I live by Proverbs 18:22 and I haven't read no where in the bible where it says "She who findeth a husband finds a good thing and obtains favor from the LORD."
Prina and Subrina! Amen!
ReplyDeleteSuprina,
ReplyDeleteI have nothing to read with my breakfast so I guess I will wait and hopefully I can read with lunch.
