Although this is not the end of Caesar and Bree's night together, this is the end of my posting for tonight. My eyes and fingers are protesting going any further. I have to listen to my body.
Soooo....
Yes, you're left on a slight hook, but think of what you have to look forward to tomorrow. lol.
WOW THAT SO SAD SHE WANTED TO JUST BE WITH HIM BUT ALL THE LIES SHE HAS TO TELL EATING HER UP. I HOPE THU IT ALL THEY STILL BE TOGETHER. THANKS FOR THE UPDATED. TRINA.
Prina, a hook you may have left us on but not without something serious to chew on.
simply told me what i needed to hear to have his way- that speaks volumes Suprina. I'm talking control, manipulation, and then for those who are the hearers of those words, truly we can become so needy so desperate that when we hear those things, we do anything. That's rough stuff Suprina but still we need to confront these things so we can conquer them.
Broken promises equal broken people. Heart, mind, soul and spirit. That's deep. I've only encountered one person whose promises don't change when situations do and that is Jesus alone. Let's just make the most of it and leave it that. Will we ever be able to do this in life, make the the best of it and leave it at that. That's powerful!
On a lighter note- Wow! and they still aren't through, probably no where close. TEEHEE as our author would say! Gotta love that part.
Latrice: Look at who is getting deep now. "Only one person whose promises don't change when situations do?" I have to meditate on that one, girl.
Wow! Reading the comments of this book is changing my life almost as much as writing the book itself. I KNEW this story was going to be a lot different than the others.
sorry to say this... i know she's an agent and the mission is of utter importance...but this fake rape story does not sit well with me!
i know she feels torn bcoz she's falling in love with the guy, she obviously did not expect to meet her soulmate, but seriously, seriously i dont like this fake rape story!
Kim: I don't like it much either. Neither does Subrina, but it was supposed to be something to keep men from bothering her. See how bad that turned out, didn't you? The men STILL were trying to get at her, especially C.
Things just aren't working out the way Subrina thought with this mission, so at this point she is having to roll with the punches.
On the bright side (if this can even be considered a bright side) talking about this kind of 'nonviolent' rape gave me a chance to let readers know that not all rape situations come with massive abuse. That though rape is ALWAYS a violation of another person's will, it does not always come with graphic physical violence.
Does anyone else feel a little put off by the way that Caesar talks to Suprina? Sometimes he is ok and respectful and other times I feel dirty by the things that he says to her. He is certainly not very tactful when it comes to the words that come out of his mouth!!
Becca: I'm curious about your question too. So far no other readers have SAID they were put off by how blunt Caesar talks to Subrina (and she certainly isn't in the story, though his mother scolds him about his speech). But that doesn't mean that no one IS put off by his speech.
So I pose your question to the rest of the group, how do Y'ALL feel about the way Caesar talks to Subrina?
I love the arrogance and aggressiveness that comes across in Caesars way of talking to Suprina. I have ALWAYS been attracted to the strong arrogant type. As long as his EGO doesn't get to big his head can't fit in the door and he really can do what he say he can do no problem from me. Although that is just my opinion. I love Ceasar he is my favorite out of all your male charters so far. Avalon is a little trickster too she set them up on purpose cause she knew they couldn't fight DESTINY. Even though I see all the obstacles ahead I know they are fated to be together.
Carmel B: Thanks for weighing in on the issue. I personally find those traits attractive in a man as well, which would explain why I'm married to an alpha-male now. lol.
In fact, just a few minutes ago he said something very alpha-male-ish. I was like, "Okay, big daddy." LOL!!!!
But then again, that's just how we roll in our relationship (excuse the urban slang. Been talking to my 23y/o son a lot more lately. lol).
Is Caesar really your favorite so far? Wow! I thought some of y'all were still crushing on Royal, Baron, Bonz, or even Millsap (another blunt alpha-male). lol.
Yes, Avalon is a little trickster. She's rooting for them to make it same as all of us.
Becca: I wanted to pipe back in and say based on the responses I'm getting on and off blog that C's speech seems to be a matter of personal preference. Some women LOVE the bluntless. Others prefer more gentlemanly speech. Tomato/tomata. It's all good.
Thanks for sparking a great piece of conversation.
