The Professor - Ch. 20.2

In Baron’s office sat one happy man. He’d been listening hard to Aurelia’s conversation with her classmates and was pleased about it. He loved what she told Claude, was physically stirred by what she told Bambi. And yet Baron knew that he had to keep things non-sexual between them until Aurelia was safely out of his class for their respective academic and employment sakes.

But how?

He didn’t know. Aurelia was pretty hard to resist when she wasn’t trying to seduce him. When she laid the charm on thick, it took everything in him to resist her.

While Baron figured out how to do that, he proceeded to dial Jordin’s cell phone number again. He’d already made one call to that number with no answer, which meant that she was probably still tied up in business meetings.

Suddenly recalling how Megan had broken things off with him, Baron replaced the receiver and decided to do what needed to be done in person. No callus phone call from him. No, Jordin would learn that he was no longer interested in her face to face.

Fortunately for Baron, he didn’t have to be bothered with Rhoda today. Having the phone up to his ear for so long caused her to walk past his open door and go to the office she occupied next to his.

Baron’s only regret in rescuing Rhoda that fateful night was the fact that it made her want to get even closer to him. Whereas he had rejected the very thought of being with her even in his weakest hour.

  1. Night all. I posted Wednesday's posts early since I might be sleeping late and then likely going to Bible Study in the evening.

    All comments are welcome.

  2. although i respect baron for wanting to let jordin down face to face like aurelia did i hope its not a mistake considering in his situation he wouldnt be in a public area amongst other people like aurelia. she might try something given how smitten she is with him.

  3. Bambi: You brought up a valid point about Jordin. I'm about to apply the wisdom you sprouted to my next post, which I haven't even written yet. lol.

Btw, how do you call someone 'stupid' in Vietnamese? Email me with the answer. I need for the fictional Bambi to utter that word in an upcoming scene.

    Thanks!
