Country Gal Gone Wild - Chapter 7.1

Ruby came to a complete stop beside Gavin. “What are you doing out here in the parking lot with your nightclothes on?” she asked, delectably stirred by the sight of him in the black silk pajamas and burgundy hotel robe. She almost moaned when she saw how big his feet were in the black bedroom shoes he wore. Ruby liked big hands and big feet on a man. Big hands could grab bigger portions of her curves, which she had a lot of. Big feet…well, big feet were usually an indication of something else altogether. “I came to find out what’s taking you so long to come upstairs,” Gavin replied, bending to talk to her face-to-face as he leaned both hands against the driver’s door. “I thought you changed your mind until I went out on the balcony about fifteen minutes ago for some fresh air, looked below and saw your jeep.”  “How did you know it was me? There has to be at least fifteen other red jeeps in this parking lot.” The Cleavertown Hotel stayed busy year round due to its ...

As a child, Ruby was a one ponytail tomboy. In contrast, Pearl and Opal were girly-girls wearing two or more ponytails in their hair and lots of colorful ribbons. Sadly, those basic differences kept them from getting as close as she desired back then. Over the years they all stopped trying. As a result, she seldom felt her sisters’ love, only their tolerance.  Things were slightly different with her parents. Ruby could feel their love through the things they did for her. Yet she also felt their disappointment. Not just because of the shameful things she’d done lately, but simply for the fact that she wasn’t born a boy.  Ruby was Mama Hudson’s last attempt to have a son. She had a miscarriage at the beginning of her marriage and then two children by C-section after that. Each child had been a girl.  When Mama Hudson became pregnant a fourth time, the doctors advised her to stop there. Back then three C-sections were the recommended number for any woman to ensure the...

Ruby sat in her car and kept doing the same thing she’d been doing for the last forty-five minutes – looking up at Gavin’s third floor suite from the Cleavertown Hotel parking lot. Though she wanted to go to him so badly, she couldn’t seem to make herself leave the car.  “I’m a coward ,” Ruby confessed aloud. She talked a good game in front of others, but inwardly she was that same repressed girl that was afraid to let her real self show for fear of being rejected. For fear of causing her family further shame.  The only time Ruby had ever really let herself go for any extended period of time was when she went away to college. There she found herself among other free spirits, people that weren’t afraid to let their true selves show.  Willing to lower her own inhibitions in such a liberated environment, Ruby unwisely used alcohol to boost her courage. Over time too much drinking and partying led to some pretty outrageous deeds. Most of which weren’t pretty at all....

“Three words, ladies. He’s- not -gay,” Ruby said, summarizing her report as she sat down. She decided to be stingy for once in her life and keep some precious things, namely how alive Gavin made her feel, to herself. We could see that.” Nancy puffed on yet another cigarette.  “And a whole lot more,” Peggy Lee added. “Girl, you two were really going at it out there. I ain’t never seen you so hot over a man you just met before.”  “No man has ever made me this hot before. I think he melted my thong up against that wall.” Ruby laughed in an attempt to restore her equilibrium faster. She still felt discombobulated inside, completely thrown off. Peggy Lee laughed, too.  “If he did all that, then why are you over here with us ?” Nancy asked in a tone devoid of mirth. “I certainly wouldn’t be talking to my girlfriends if a man started that kind of fire within me.”  “Yeah, why am I over here with y’all?” Ruby replied, grabbing a pen from her oran...

Country Gal Gone Wild - Chapter 5.1

Ruby had long since forgotten about her friends during her heated dance with Gavin. When he lowered his lips to hers, she forgot about everything else. She wanted this man’s kiss like she wanted the sun to shine every day. In a way she felt as if she needed it.  The thought of needing any man was both terrifying and exhilarating for Ruby. She never needed a man before. Why now? Why him? Maybe it had something to do with the unexplainable connection she had with Gavin. Or maybe it was something more primal like the fact that the second she received his warm tongue into her mouth, she had tangible proof that he would be a great lover. The way he slowly moved his tongue in and out of her mouth mimicked the act of making love to a tee. His rhythmic hips confirmed his sexual prowess. This was one man that knew how to move his body.  Ruby rolled her hips in response, sending an open invitation with each thrust. She gave in wholeheartedly to his kisses and slurped him up l...

Country Gal Gone Wild - Chapter 4.3

It’s time to ask her out on a real date , Gavin thought, ready to throw his hat in the ring for Ruby’s time, energy, and affection. Before he could open his mouth, he suddenly saw something disturbing in one of the side mirrors aligning the nightclub walls. What the…? Did she just give somebody thumbs-up behind me? And why?   Sending his eyes to several other mirrors, Gavin quickly discovered the recipients of Ruby’s covert message – two women sitting at a booth on the north side of the club. He suppressed a frown when he recognized one of the women from a recent dental appointment. Though he couldn’t recall her full name right off hand since he quickly pushed it to the back of his mind after that visit, he would never forget the face of that extremely flirtatious, chain-smoking blonde whose teeth he bleached on Friday.   I’ve been set-up, Gavin deduced, instantly feeling a strong sense of disappointment and anger. And here I thought we were making a real connectio...

Country Gal Gone Wild - Chapter 4.2

Rascal Flatts’ I Melt cued up just as Ruby and Gavin reached the middle of the dance floor. She wasted no time going into his arms. What woman wouldn’t want to be snuggled up against all that hard muscle?   When does he find time to work out? Ruby wondered, embracing his strong neck.   Though her lower body was a respectable distance from Gavin’s, her upper body wasn’t by a long shot. As big as she was on top, they would almost have to be dancing at arm’s length to avoid rubbing her bosom up against his chest. She wasn’t trying to do any such thing. Ruby liked feeling Gavin’s hardness molded against her softness. He seemed to like it, too, based on the low moans coming from his throat each time her bosom shifted or pressed harder against his chest. She quickly discovered that she liked pleasing him. A rapidly growing part of her wanted to please him even more, but she stifled that urge.     Forgetting her covert mission for the moment, Ruby closed her ...
